Step flooring system

The step floor is not only easy to install but also adjustable in height. The system combines pre-mounted frames with a standard size of 39.27”x39.27” (other frame dimensions are possible too) with corner and edge modules. As shown on the diagram, tiles are positioned in a chessboard pattern. This allows for a significant reduction in required material.

Thanks to the fact that the frames have a double supporting edge, you only need half the amount of frames you would expect based upon the required floor surface. The modules are adjustable in height from 4" to 5" (100 mm to 130 mm) with a free passage underneath the floor of 2.36" (60 mm) maximum. 0.87" (22 mm) thick plywood is advised as infill material, to be finished according to your own choice or as basic support for a carpet flooring. The specific shape of the aluminum profile ensures the Step frames are very easily and compactly stackable. An M6 threaded groove at the bottom of the extrusion makes it possible to mount LED modules for indirect lighting. The fact that the system is made out of an aluminum extrusion profile not only makes it very flexible in size, but it also makes it a very lightweight and easy to handle solution. A basic module can easily carry up to 1,100 lbs per frame (500 kg/m²), but for heavy duty purposes of up to 2,200 lbs per frame (1000 kg/m²) and more, the Step UP can be added as a diagonal reinforcement profile.
