Five years of the East Flanders Regional Fund: Aluvision celebrates as involved board member.
188 projects. 1.8 million euros. Five years of local impact.
In the iconic Winter Circus in Ghent, we celebrated a special moment at the end of April: the fifth anniversary of Streekfonds Oost-Vlaanderen. An inspiring evening full of stories, encounters and glimpses of the future. Aluvision was there proudly, not only as a supporter, but also as an active board member of the Streekfonds.
A warm review
What started as an ambitious idea has evolved into a dynamic platform that empowers community initiatives and fosters social cohesion throughout East Flanders. Thanks to the support of the Streekfonds, 188 local projects together have already received 1.8 million euros in financial support. Each of these initiatives responds to a social need - from fighting poverty to strengthening youth work or ecological neighbourhood projects.
Moving testimonies
On stage, young people Selma and Kai shared their personal stories of how the Knipperkot VZW and Triple Challenge projects helped shape their lives. Initiators of Ekoli VZW, Reus Hagewijkpark and Welle Wei also told how they were able to make their dreams come true with the support of the regional fund.
Aluvision believes in connection
As a company with roots in East Flanders, we feel strongly connected to the mission of the Streekfonds. This is why Aluvision joins forces with more than 85 other companies and organisations that see the importance of local and social responsibility. Our role on the board allows us to think strategically about the future of the fund and how we can generate even more impact together.
Strength in collaboration
During the event, business leaders and policymakers emphasized the vital role of collaboration between the private sector and community initiatives."Their message: together, we build a strong social fabric. In 2025, another 59 new projects will receive support from the Regional Fund - a new wave of solidarity. In conclusion, the importance of local philanthropy and citizenship was underlined by, among others, Brieuc Van Damme (King Baudouin Foundation), Governor Carina Van Cauter and Chairman Peter Vandekerckhove.
Empowering the region together
Aluvision remains committed, with heart and mind, to a province where initiatives from the bottom up are given every opportunity. Because investing in people, ideas and connection is investing in a better future.
